The Idaho Hospital Association (IHA) contracts with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, to provide a statewide trauma registry. The Idaho Trauma Registry (ITR) was established by Idaho Code §57-2003 to collect data needed to analyze the incidence, severity, causes, costs and outcomes of trauma in Idaho. This information will be useful for emergency medical system improvements, prevention programming and research, as well as for prioritizing health resource allocations.
