Whether it is a significant new court decision, changes in Idaho's statutory scheme, or information on federal and state regulations, IHA staff ensures that our members have the most current and most correct interpretation. During the legislative session IHA staff follows every introduction which may have impact on our member's operations. At the end of each legislative session IHA staff conducts educational programs throughout the state on changes and new laws which will impact hospitals.

Federal regulations, particularly with regards to HIPAA and EMTALA, are constantly monitored by IHA staff and important updates and changes in interpretation are posted in The Bulletin. Several times a year educational programs are offered throughout the state on legal, regulatory or judicial interpretations. Compliance programs and compliance issues are another area which IHA staff can provide member's model programs, policies, education and on-site surveys.
